Erasmus: A Visit to Munich

In Munich we got a tour to the Liebfrauendom, the Marienplatz with the Glockenspiel, the Eisbachwelle and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University.
At the university we went to the inner courtyard where Sophie and Hans Scholl, student members of the White Rose, a resistance group in the Nazi Era, had distributed their leaflets on the 18th February 1943 which led to their arrest and final execution only four days later. In the little museum nearby the activities of the Weiße Rose (White Rose) are shown and commemorated. We were deeply impressed by these young models for civil courage.

Back again in Augsburg we enjoyed a rehearsal of the opera Fidelio of the Staatstheater Augsburg.

Last but not least, the final activity of the programme led the Spanish guests to a visit with a workshop at Gut Morhard.
